What it means to be Blase

BLASE started as the very first student organization in Leuven and Belgium for management and leadership. Since then we launched several events and 2 Bootcamps. In this way, we bring passionate students the basics and the future of leadership. We are now looking forward to the third Management Bootcamp edition which will be hosted in London!

Being a BLASE board member includes a responsibility that is twofold. First you are responsible for your own department(s) (or tasks within the department), this can be Marketing, CR, Operations, HR, Finance, Legal or IT. Second you have a say in the short term and the more long term strategic decisions, as well as the daily operations of BLASE. You should think of around 5-10 hours of work per week but in short being a board member is the ultimate BLASE learning experience.

  • Become an experienced team player, weekly board meetings and additional tasks with fellow team members will make you a better communicator.

  • Enlarge your vision, understand what drives BLASE and how the organization grows.

  • Meet new friends, as a team you will get to know each other better all the time. It is a great opportunity to meet new friends, in the board as well as in the community. BLASE is starting next year as a community of 20-30 students/young professionals, growing to around 60 in one year from now, giving all bootcamp alumni the chance to join.

  • Expand your professional network, be on the forefront of a fast growing network with strong ties to several Belgian as well as international organizations, growing strongly each month. Prove yourself to companies and top-tier business schools as an excellent organizer, presenter and communicator.

  • Learn more on management and leadership, BLASE brings students in touch with effective leaders from the industry, as well as all the latest trends and techniques on management. Discover and be one the first to learn more.

  • Travel for BLASE, BLASE organizes business trips, and this year it will be hosted in Madrid in collaboration with IE Business School. Organize the trip as part of the management bootcamp to a renowned business school, while also visiting strong leading companies and getting to know a new city and culture.
